Access, limits and errors
- Every data request needs your personal API key:
Authorization: Bearer joi_…. Create an account (sign up), subscribe on the pricing page ($150 per 30 days), then create the key on your account page. In the browser, signing in is enough (the docs' Test buttons use your session).
- Limits: about 1,200 requests per minute per key. Identical requests within a minute are answered from cache.
- Without a key the documentation,
llms.txt and openapi.json stay open; data endpoints answer 401 (no or unknown key) or 402 (subscription not active).
- Response headers:
X-Result-Count (postings in this response) and X-Last-Id (the cursor for the next page).
- Errors are JSON
{"error": "…"}: 400 a parameter is not understood (the message says which and why), 401 missing or unknown key, 402 subscription not active, 404 no such endpoint, 414 URL too long, 429 slow down, 503 a query would scan too much (add a filter or a shorter window), 500 server error.
- Queries stop after 25 seconds rather than hang.
